I have worked as a publishing freelancer since 2010, gaining experience in editing, proofreading, content development and project management, on both school- and tertiary-level publications (print and electronic) as well as multi-media support learning materials. Between 2007 and 2010, I also developed learning material for adult education, ranging from business and retail skills to technical knowledge for the marine industry.

Apart from editing language, I have enjoyed doing photo research, briefing artists, checking curriculum coverage and language level, and over-writing to fill curriculum gaps and adjust material to make it more appropriate for the reader.

I have also been privileged to act as a reviewer, lead writer and project manager for prestigious publishing houses.

I am passionate about language, particularly Plain English as a tool for aiding communication.
